c) Explain Christian teachings and attitudes to stewardship and the environment (8)
ONe reason why Christains should look afte rthe environment is that in the Holy Bible it states "Be fruitful and multiply. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living thing that mmoves on the grouund." (Genesis 1:28). Thi quote shows that God has given them the dominion over His land. However they have the resonsibilty of looking after God's creation.
Secondly Christians believe they will be judged by God in life after death. In the Holy Bible it states "Till the Earth and keep it." (Genesis 2:15). This quote shows that Chridtains should act as good stewards of the Earth so that future generations can do also.
Moreover, Christians should look after the environment because Jesus looked after the environment. Jesus's teachings were to love one another and to help people that A are in need. This means that Christains should share the resources of the Earth.
